BLOCKED ACCOUNT

My original hotmail account is BLOCKED, not LOCKED. It gives me the option to reset the password, but still will not let me log in. I somehow spoke to a human being at one point and he said that he "unblocked it" and to give it one hour and reset my password and I will be fine. HE WAS WRONG. I pay for a OneDrive subscription that I cannot cancel, and if I'm going to pay for it, I have legal rights to my files that you guys are denying me. I CANNOT LOG INTO THE ACCOUNT AT ALL, WHICH IS THE ONLY WAY THAT HELP IS OFFERED. SOMEONE NEEDS TO CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY. I demand to speak with a human, not an AI robot.

    Hi Chelcie Swenson,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I’m very sorry to hear that you’re going through such a stressful situation, especially since the account is linked to your OneDrive files and an active subscription.

Based on your description, it seems that the account is still blocked/suspended even after you reset the password. Resetting the password does not always automatically remove the blocked status from the account.

If the account still shows as blocked/suspended, please submit a review request using this official form: Account Reinstatement.

If this issue affects your OneDrive access, you can also refer to Microsoft’s guidance here: Reactivate an account that has been blocked.

For the subscription issue, if you cannot sign in to the blocked account to cancel it, please contact Microsoft Support using another Microsoft account:

    • Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
    • Click the expanded list of products.
    • Select Outlook > Get Home support.
    • Type “live chat” in the search box, select Get Help, then choose Contact Support.
    • If you cannot sign in to the affected account, sign in with a different Microsoft account to access the support options.
    • Under Products & Services, select Other Products > Billing and account profile questions, then choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser if this option is available.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas only.

    Thank you for your understanding.
