My Microsoft account uses my Gmail address as the username. Today my account was compromised, and the security verification email has been changed to an address beginning with jo*****@pessoapotw.com, which is not mine. I no longer have access because the attacker changed the security information. I need help recovering my account and removing the unauthorized recovery email.

While it can't be removed without accessing the account, you may try reaching out to Microsoft Support as they can possibly "Suspend" the account permanently once they have confirmed that the account can no longer be recovered in order to prevent the hacker from using it:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Microsoft 365 sign-in problem" > Click "Get Help" > Scroll down and select the option "Sign in to contact Support" > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Account Profile Questions > Confirm > then select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser"

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

    Thank you for your response.

Its fine not to recover my ms account, I will create a new one with more security levels, but I want my gmail that linked to the hacked account to be removed _its a private property and linked to many platforms that could be hacked since the hacker has my gmail account email, so my only request is to remove my gmail address from the compromised microsoft account. I am the legitimate owner of the gmail address and I have full access to it. I can verify ownership by receiving a verification email or completing any other verification process you require.

The Microsoft account has been compromised, and my personal gmail address is currently associated with an account I no longer control. I would like my gmail address to be disassociated from that account to protect my identity and prevent future misuse.

If this request cannot be handled by your team, could you please escalate it to the appropriate privacy or data protection team for review?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hey there. Nice to meet you.

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

Since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help with escalation either.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
