microsoft-usb serial device driver is unavailable in HP ZBook Power G11 Windows 11 Enterprise 25H2 26200.8655
My hardware can be detected as usb serial device in some computers. But the same hardware is appearing as Unknown USB Device(Device Descriptor Request Failed) in my HP ZBook Power G11 Windows 11 Enterprise 25H2. Tried to choose the driver manually and can't find the relevant driver, Microsoft - USB serial device. This driver(Microsoft - USB serial device) is present in the computer that is able to detect this hardware. How to resolve this problem? Can you share me an updated driver?

Instead, a USB enumeration failure prevents the system from correctly identifying the device, resulting in the "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" error.
It is recommended to follow these steps in the most effective order:
- Disconnect the device, plug it directly into a different USB port (avoid using docking stations or adapters), restart your computer, and then reconnect the device.
- Open Device Manager → Universal Serial Bus controllers → Uninstall the "Unknown USB Device," then restart the computer to allow the system to automatically rebuild the USB driver stack.
- If the issue persists, update the official HP chipset and BIOS drivers (specific to the ZBook G11):https://support.hp.com
