I have a new device (Cube Controls Astra Sim Racing Wheel), but when connected to a powered USB port, or any other USB port I get a Device Descriptor Request Failed error. I get the same error when I connect the device via a powered USB hub and also get the same error when connecting to a different computer. I have power to the wheel as all RGB lights are on and I also get the windows device connection tone when connecting the device.. Please help

    Please try this fix:

Open Device Manager, right click USB device with error.

Go to Properties > Details > copy Device instance path.

Then go to Registry Editor > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum[Device instance path value here]

In right pane of Device Parameters, set EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled to 0.

Note: If you're new to registry, create System Restore point before registry editing.

Windows does not have any in-built drivers for that device and if you are not experiencing any problems with other USB devices on your PC, then there is no problem with the USB ports.

The best option is to go to the CubeControls website to download and install any drivers, firmware and associated software they provide for that racing wheel model.
