microphone not picking my voice up for dictation

I thought this would be an AI help but here I am writing an email...what gives 2026?

    Hi,

    Let us determine the state of the microphone first.

    Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.

    Type mmsys.cpl

    Press Enter.

    1. Go to the Recording tab, Select and choose Properties.
    2. Take screenshots of all the tabs and post in the next reply.
